General teaching Points

 

· Strong posture
· Soft knees (slightly bent)
· Wide base
· Long spine, straight back
· Maintain a strong centre; draw your belly button in.

 

Specific teaching points

· Important that the knee does not go over the front toe
· Increase the depth of the lunge as flexibility improves
· Make the step out a large one
