A great tennis video clip for players who’s mental stability is inconsistant.

Lessons to be learned from James Blake

By Simon Grieve LTA Performance Coach and Procompare Co-Founder

Q. How do you maintain a positive outlook when the results are going against you?

Blake has an ability to rationalise losses in a positive manner, he accepts that Vliegan played very well at key moments and was happy with his own performance
Blake understands that losing matches is part of the journey and he is proud of his ability to maintain a consistent mental approach.
In tough runs he works hard at keeping it fun knowing all to well that it is easy to get on a downward spiral of negativity and expecting to lose.
His latest run showed him that he can lose two first rounds in a rwo and then come back to win a large tournament.
