Nicole Vaidisova:
Born: Nurnberg, Germany 23/04/89
Residence: Prague, Czech Republic
Vaidisova’s mother introduced her to tennis when she was 6 years of age. As she progressed it was decided that she should receive her tennis training at the Nick Bolletierri Academy in Florida. Some of her junior tournament highlights include winning the Orange Bowl 2003 and getting to the singles and doubles finals of the Australian Open 2004.
2004 was a great year for Vaidisova. She represented the Czech Republic in the Federation Cup and won her first WTA Tour event in Vancouver, becoming the sixth youngest singles champion in tour history. Currently (08/29/2005) she is ranked 27 WTA.
Vaidisova has a solid all court game with her serve having the potential to be a real weapon. When she is on court she lets her game do the talking, however, when she is off the court she can do the talking in many different languages including German, Czech, English and she is currently studying French. She enjoys pop music, especially Madonna and her favourite city is New York.
Check out her tennis video clips and photo sequences in the video library. In particular study her fluent, relaxed service motion, it’s not a bad model to copy!
