Learning from the Pro's - Agassi on beating the defensive player

Agassi Interview
By: Simon Grieve

We have all heard parents talk about how their child was the better player and lost only because of frustration with their opponents negative tactics. In the video below agassi talks about how he managed to stay focused once he found himself in this exact situation.

agassi smashing racket

Seemingly cruising through the match against lowly ranked opponent goldstein, from a set and break up he quickly found himself a break down in the third against a stubborn defensive wall. It began to rain at the beginning of the 3rd set, subsequently a smashed racket (from an increasingly frustrated agassi) and a slip from his opponent forced the umpire to suspend play. The question on everyones lips was how would Agassi turn the tide back into his favour from an opponent who was not missing and who clearly had the momentum with him.
