Movement Drills

The Circle Forehand Exercise

By Pat Etcheberry, Trainer To Many Grandslam Winners

In this video clip Rochus highlights the points raised in Pat Etcheberry's 'circle forehand exercise.' Rochus shows great dynamic balance (his head is very stable), he is proactive with his right leg and he manages to get his body weight going forward so he can really attack the ball.

You can see how Rochus tracks the ball and in a semi circular direction moves around his backhand to strike an aggressive inside out forehand. Rochus shows with his footwork how he can compete with the bigger stronger players on the ATP Tour. His speed and accuracy of movement enables him to attack with his stronger shots.

We hope you enjoy Pat's circle forehand exercise and look forward to hearing more from Pat in 2006.

For more than twenty years Pat Etcheberry has been providing athletes from around the world with the winning edge. We call this the Etcheberry Experience, and players with an Etcheberry experience have hoisted Championship Trophies at over one hundred major championships, including 28 Australian Opens, 18 Wimbledons, 22 UP Opens, 22 French Opens and 15 Olympic medals.

And now it's your turn! This is your chance to experience the same drills, exercises and words of tennis wisdom that Pat gave to Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Jennifer Capriati, Martina Hingis, Jim Courier, Justine Henin-Hardenne, and others, that helped launch them on their incredible careers.

For the first time, Pat Etcheberry shares his training secrets in a series of DVDs for players of all ages, their coaches, and trainers. Visit EtcheberryExperience.com to learn more.
